Plus, everyone who had signed up for that session including me, an AIU policyholder had also been informed well in advance via email notificatoin that it was cancelled due to schedule conflicts of the principals. I do not understand why this post implies a last-minute cancellation. But in the grand scheme of things, AIU did have a huge opportunity here to address their audience and the wider insurance community, and while I am sure the scheduling conflicts that forced the cancellation could not be avoided, the reality is there was left on the table a big chance for public outreach.
Pax Morgana by Bill Coffin
All of those points are true and worth making amid the hype regarding AIG bonus payments. That said, who better to explain the situation about insurance carrier solvency than AIU? And that is why it was so disappointing to see the session canceled. That is really the point here. Personally, I missed the notifications about the canceled session and did not know it was canceled until I got to the session itself and saw a sign there to that effect.

Sessions get canceled all the time for lots of different reasons, and I was sure the reasons for this particular cancellation were perfectly valid. Just the same, to have AIU lead a discussion on carrier solvency, given recent events and given the current economic climate, would have been a coup for AIU and for anybody attending. I hate missed opportunities, and this was one. I got injured inside of an one out of four elevators they had. To ask other readers questions about Pax Britannia , please sign up.

And by this time, you're wondering how Knights of the Round Table, Warriors of Fabled Cities, Legends of Epic Poems and other such heroes will work together with Arthur, grandson of the fabled king, to drive Morgana le Fay, her dark champion and the forces of Arcadia from Gaia.
Epic would not even begin to describe it. I won't spoil it for you, except to say that if you started Pax Britannia, the third and final volume of the Dark Britannia series, thinking that Coffin was done folding in more of your favorite legendary heroes, you'd be dead wrong. What started out as a journey that took us from the death of King Arthur into the reign of a villain that fans of Arthurian legend should already know, unfolded into this huge tale of the fate of worlds. Yes, 'worlds' with an 's' on the end. This tale became way bigger than readers might have expected after finishing the first volume, and Coffin does a terrific job of bringing that weight of legend into the summation of his story.
As with the first two volumes, you will recognize certain characters borrowed from elsewhere. Coffin is a master of not only weaving together legends, but also doing so in a way that keeps characters true to the legends that inspired their use in the first place.
